I bottle things up inside, ’cause dating games don’t “get” me. Get this, this week I ate a whole bag of Oreos. To ease the pain of datelessness, for once. Don’t judge me (j/k!). Am I crazy? Well, that’s the moment when I first considered dating again in my new hometown.
No problem. Figured I’d boost my dating life thru Great Expectations Denver. And it turned out to be my golden ticket. My dating life is worth bringing up. After practically choking down some of grandma’s potato salad at little Brent’s Easter egg hunt near North Dallas this afternoon, Richard wouldn’t get off my back about if I’ve found the woman I’m going to marry. I don’t know why they even care. So, I said, “I’m working on it, chill out.”
And of course “The Twerp” (my nephew, age 9) continued harping on the topic of true relationships. I leveled to the family gang: “Dating isn’t for me, but what do you know about dating?”
Guess what? Everyone looked away and giggled. Perturbed, I emailed my astrologist so I could clear my head. Why can’t I stop thinking about this! I can’t imagine what I was thinking there. My cousin, who is now a Budist monk or something advised that I join Great Expectations. I said, “Yeah, maybe I should.” Should have thought of it myself. I love the Dallas dating service Great Expectations.
When I started, meeting new singles through dating services was kinda foreign because I’m a traditionalist of sorts. I’d never done anything like this before, that my hands started sweating. My mess couldn’t stop a great time. The evening was full of crazy-fun mingling. The truth is I’ll never forget all the other members, some who are my new friends.
It’s been a pleasure to party at these amazing Great Expectations Dallas singles events, I bumped into quite a few winners who clearly share a like-minded spirit which made for a magnificent singles event. Don’t know why I ever let everyone get on my back about me being single at my age. Surprisingly enough, mingling the Great Expectations way is enjoyable and a remarkably refreshing dating experience.
