An Organic Mattress Can Lead to Better Night’s Sleep

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:21 pm

Few things in life are as invigorating as a good night’s sleep, but far too many people fail to experience such a pure pleasure because they are sleeping on a subpar mattress. Any consumer in the market for a new mattress needs to strongly consider the supreme advantages of a “natural” mattress like an organic or latex mattress. Unlike a synthetic mattress, an organic mattress is made from latex rubber, organic cotton and organic wool. Because those materials are chemical free, they are much healthier than a synthetic mattress.

For instance, organic wool naturally repels dust mites, meaning that an organic mattress won’t collect nearly as much dust as its synthetic counterpart. In addition, organic mattresses resist mold and mildew and have a longer life span than synthetic mattresses. Those who suffer from allergies often find that the polyurethane foam that make up synthetic mattresses can cause allergic reactions, but the natural materials that organic mattresses are created from have no such potential harmful effects.

Another type of natural mattress that is rapidly gaining in popularity is the latex mattress. After becoming hugely popular in Europe, major mattress manufactures began developing latex mattresses and they are beginning catch on in the United States. Latex mattresses are also made from the sap of a Hevea Brasiliensis (rubber) tree and have a much longer life span than a typical spring mattress. In fact, latex mattresses are considered the most comfortable mattress on the market. Like an organic mattress, a latex mattress stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer, ensuring maximum year-round comfort - a tremendous benefit in an ever-changing Denver climate.

Many Americans are realizing the health benefits of natural, organic products in all aspects of their lives, and natural mattresses are at the top of the list.
