This Sunday, June 15 is dad’s day/fathers day here in America. A day in which we honor our dads.

Happy Father’s Day to all of you dads.

I’m very thankful that I still have my dad around and that he is a good dad.

Is he or was he a perfect dad growing up no but I do not know one human dad who is perfect.

(If you know a human dad who is perfect please email me.) I think we should not only honor the dads who are our physical dads but also the men who impacted us for the things of God

because any guy can help a lady conceive a child but it takes a true man to impact a kid for the things that matter most.

My friend Cal Thomas said in a column when he tells people that his dad left his family in 1983 that some might think he walked out on his family , as many do.

No, Cal’s dad and the good dads leave their families the right way through death. I saw and read this week that General Douglas MacArthur saw the most important thing he did was to be a dad.

“By profession,” he said, “I am a soldier and take pride in that, but I am prouderinfinitely prouderto be a father.

A soldier destroys, a father builds. The one has the potentiality of death; the other embodies creation and life. “It is my hope that my son, when I am gone, will remember me not from the battlefield, but in the home, repeating with him our simple daily prayers.”

If you could make a perfect dad what would he be like?

Loving, just, caring, blessings his kids, never will abuse anyone but will in love discipline his kids.

If you are looking for a perfect dad in this world you will never find one.

However if we will look to the God who came into this world as a baby and then as a man went to the cross and then rose from the dead you will find the only perfect dad.

So thank you dads.

Lets pray for human dads and be thankful for the good dads but lets not forget there is no human dad who is perfect.

Happy Father’s Day to all of you who in some way have been a father to some person.
