The Pigment Principle (part 2)

Filed under: Gender Issues Information — admin @ 12:01 pm

Now that summer is upon us, the sun is directly overhead and the
bright colors we wear in this season look their best because the
sunlight is shining directly overhead. Bright colors look
natural during this time of the year. That’s why fuchsia, spring
green and bright yellow look at out of place in the winter; the
sun is lower in the sky, nature does not have flowers blooming
in the landscape, and those bright colors almost look muddied
… back to the summer, where we are!

There are an abundance of shades of green to choose from; lime
green, soft apple green, deep forest, olive, and list the goes
on. Bright lime green looks best on young people with clear
complexions. The brightness of lime reflects light and draws
attention to our skin so that if you have blemishes, strong
lines, etc., on your face, they will be more evident when you
wear brights. Apple green is popular right now because so many
people look soft, confident and calm when they wear it. Olive
and deep forests greens add to a person’s aura of stability and
dependability. In business or when you entertain, wearing green
is great for introducing a new, invigorating idea, plan or
product. Greens can be tricky to wear because of the yellow
combined with the blue.

Yellow does not work with all skin tones especially if you have
been sick, had a headache or an upset stomach. When our PH is
out of balance from not feeling well, more bile is released in
our system which can make the skin appear more yellowish. If you
wear yellow or a yellow green color when you are “under the
weather”, more people will notice that you don’t feel well
because the yellow clothing will draw attention to the extra
yellow tone of your skin. Yellow as a color is so bright;
everyone notices the color and you in it. If you want to make a
dramatic entrance, yellow makes it easy to be noticed right
away. We associate yellow with bright, cheerful, sunny days. If
you are working with a project that has lost its steam, wearing
yellow when you try a new approach will make for a high-energy
impact. So, wear yellows when you are healthy and feeling great
because everyone will see you coming!

Orange communicates that you are in the mood to play. You will
notice more people wearing orange in the warm months when we are
particularly active in outdoor sports. Orange also revs up an
audience and people who are attending all types of games or
outdoor activities. If you wear orange in a conservative office
setting, however, people might respond inappropriately. Wearing
orange, you will be taken more seriously in business if your
line of work is “fun in the sun”, sports or the fashion
industry. Orange is best at the company picnic rather than
inside in the boardroom.

Pink emits youth, energy and enthusiasm. People tend to feel
younger when they wear all shades of pink. The brighter the pink
the more attention you draw to yourself. This is great if you
are leading a meeting, or find yourself the center of attention
at a function. The soft shades of pink help others see you as
reassuring. If you are going to be dealing with a person who is
upset or you are the one delivering bad news, soft pink will
keep them calmer and will not provoke them emotionally. If you
have to conduct an exit interview, wearing pastel pink could
keep a volatile situation from escalating into emotional
fireworks. If you have to fire someone, don’t wear red!!

Purple lets people know you “think outside the box”, see
yourself as unique and don’t believe you are obligated to follow
the mainstream.

Alopecia Areata Hair Loss

Filed under: World Of Health — admin @ 11:25 am

Nu Hair of Texas Hair Loss clinic, announces new alopecia areata
comprehensive source at Nu Hair web http://www.nuhair.net
providing answers to most frequently asked questions on
alopecia. Nuhair has presented condensed articles about alopecia
hair loss and baldness issues, using photos and links.

Understanding how and why is a start for every one who is
afflicted with Alopecia Areata hair loss. * What causes Alopecia
Areata hair loss? * Who is most likely to get Alopecia? * Will
my hair grow back? * Living with Alopecia Areata * Alopecia
Areata hair loss treatments * More information on Alopecia Areata

Alopecia areata is highly unpredictable, autoimmune skin disease
with recurrent no scarring hair loss. It can affect any
hair-bearing area of the body with many different patterns of
hair loss on the scalp or elsewhere on the body. Alopecia is a
progressive skin disease causing hair loss but not
life-threatening. People with Alopecia are generally healthy
otherwise. Alopecia hair loss can cause emotional psychosocial
stress.

Most common appearance is 1 or many round-to-oval patches of
hair falls out. In many cases, only a few bare patches show up.
But for some people hair loss is extensive. It can cause total
loss of head hair, alopecia Areata Totalis, or complete loss of
whole body hair, alopecia Areata Universalis.

What Causes Alopecia Areata Hair Loss? Alopecia areata is an
autoimmune disease. Our immune system, designed to protect the
body from viruses and bacteria, mistakenly attacks its own body
cells, attacks the hair follicles, the root from which hairs
grow. The hair follicles become small and slow down new hair
production. In most cases the stem cells that supply the
follicles with new cells are not targeted. Therefore there is
possibility for the hair to re-grow at a later time.

Why some people get afflicted with Alopecia, maybe the
combination of genes predisposed to the disease. Unknown trigger
in a person’s environment may cause the autoimmune disease to
attack the hair follicles.

Who Is Most Likely To Get Alopecia? Alopecia Areata condition is
common, affecting males and females in approximately 1.7 percent
of the world population overall, 4.7 million in the US men and
women of all ages and ethnic backgrounds are affected with
alopecia areata hair loss.

Genetic factors may play an important role in determining
susceptibility and disease severity. The risk of developing
Alopecia Areata increases if a family member lost his first
patch of hair before age 30. One in five people who have the
disease have a family member who already experienced Alopecia
hair loss, but it is not inherited from a parent.

Alopecia areata often occurs in people whose family members have
other autoimmune diseases, such as diabetes, rheumatoid
arthritis, thyroid disease, systemic lupus. People who have
alopecia areata have a higher occurrence of thyroid disease,
eczema, allergies, or asthma.

Will My Hair Ever Grow Back? Your hair may or may not grow back.
At times it grow back and it may also fall out again. For others
hair regrows, and the condition never recurs. Even if all hair
is lost, possibility for full regrowth remains.

Living with Alopecia Areata Use sunscreens for exposed skin,
sunglasses to protect the eyes from excessive sun, and dust with
eyebrows or eyelashes hair loss condition. Use wigs or hairpiece
to cover and protect scalp. Value yourself for who you are, not
for how much hair you have. Talk with others who are dealing
with Alopecia Areata hair loss, you are not alone.

Alopecia Areata treatments Doctors try several medications
approved for promoting hair growth, but none cure the disease.
Steroids, Corticosteroids, anti-inflammatory drugs are often
used in the treatment of various autoimmune diseases, including
alopecia areata. Corticosteroids may be given as injections of
steroids directly into the patches on the scalp or the effected
area, usually repeated monthly. Side effects may be mild
swelling, changes in pigmentation, or small indentations in the
skin that go away once injections are stopped. Risks of
hypertension and cataracts may occur. Corticosteroids taken by
mouth may be used in more extensive alopecia areata. Ointments
containing steroids rubbed directly onto the affected area are
preferred for children. However, corticosteroid creams are less
effective than injections; they work best when combined with
other topical treatments, such as minoxidil. Other treatments
used are Sulfasalazine, or Anthralin. Hairpieces and wigs are
useful for patients with extensive disease.

Online Games - They Are A Boon If You Have A Single Child

Filed under: Gaming Hall — admin @ 10:09 pm

The good old days, when we all used to play games in a group are gone. In those days, the families used to have more than a single child and it was a joy to play games such as monopoly and others. The joy was in the games as well as the group interaction. Today with many families opting for a single child, free online games are a boon for that child and the parents.

Imagine parents worrying about their child- who will play with our child? Will he/she never play group games on board that we enjoyed so much in our childhood? Will, my kid never know the joy of the board games? Please stop worrying about that. Computer is there as a friend to play game with your child. Yes, I agree that it may not be same as playing in a group of children, but we cannot have our cake and eat it too

A child needs to play board games. a child enjoys the imagery of games such as monopoly . The imagination works wonders for a young mind. Now do that with your computer. Look for a good gaming site that offers free online games. Download few free online games and play with your child in the beginning. Once you know which games are good for your child, guide him/her accordingly.

Let the child enjoy the pleasure of playing against the skill of the computer. Slowly raise the level of difficulty and let you child develop skills and have fun. These games will not only give him/her pleasure but also sharpen the intelligence. They will also save you from the guilt of not having any body to play with your child. Online games are surely a boon for families with single child.

Taking Care of Your Car’s Battery

Filed under: Wheels — admin @ 8:59 pm

Every car comes with one, but some motorists act as if this particular component is completely maintenance free. What am I talking about? Your car’s battery. Technological advances have made “maintenance free” batteries standard equipment on virtually every vehicle produced today. However, the term “maintenance free” is a misnomer, one that can leave you stranded if you do not perform proper and regular maintenance. Battery maintenance isn’t difficult to do, so let’s take a look at what you can do to keep your car running.

Before discussing battery maintenance, please make sure that your battery is, in fact, the sealed type. If it isn’t, then the “maintenance free” label certainly does not apply and you will need to add water on a regular basis. Unsealed batteries are easy to spot as they have small vent caps on top of the battery which can be twisted open. You will need to periodically add distilled water to maintain water levels; more so in the summer months as water tends to evaporate quicker. Do not let your battery run low or run out of water as the battery’s cells can be ruined.

If your battery is of the sealed variety, then the “maintenance free” label is still only partially true since the term only extends to you not needing to add water to the cells as you would with an unsealed battery.

With any type of car battery - sealed or unsealed - you must do the following to help keep it working properly:

1. Clean the cables. Disconnect the cables from the battery and clean them with a wire brush that has been doused in a home made mixture [the mixture combines one tablespoon of baking soda with one cup of water]. Use this same mixture to clean off the top of the battery; use a small and clean paint brush to apply the solution where needed.

2. Lubricate the posts. A small dab of petroleum jelly on each post will help keep your cables clean and free of corrosion longer. In addition, the jelly will make it easier for you to slip the cables back onto the battery.

3. Check connections. Besides the connection between the cable and the posts, make sure that the battery hold down bar is securely in place. Not all cars have or need a battery hold down bar, but if yours has come so equipped, you will need to put it back in its proper place.

That’s it! Car battery maintenance is an easy task and one that should be performed on an annual basis. If you keep your battery properly maintained, you will extend its life and greatly reduce the chance that your battery will fail you at an inopportune time. Yes, the “maintenance free” label is incorrect, so please don’t be lulled into forgetting to do something that should never be overlooked.

Creative Thinking The Secret Key To Lasting Success

Filed under: World Of Self Improvement — admin @ 3:37 pm

What is creativity anyway? Well, let us look at the word. Creativity means the capability to build, create something. It does mean to build something new but not necessarily something unique. And here is the first trap many of us tap into. We tend to think about creativity as building something unique, something that has never been there before.

In fact, everything you create has never been there before anyway. Whatever you create, from making breakfast to writing letters, is something that has never been there before. Right? Ah, I can almost hear you say that is trivial.

Well, it might be trivial but creativity is trivial as it is a gift every human being is blessed with. What we need to do to unleash the power of creativity is to put it from the breakfast creating level to new heights.

Now how do you do that? You do it as you learn every skill. By practicing and exercising. Any skill you ever mastered you mastered through taking the steps needed and practice them over and over again. That’s how we learn new things.

Think of your creativity as a muscle. That muscle can be strong or weak, depending on how much you have used it in the past, but no doubt about it that muscle is there. If you compare yourself with a body builder, would you say your body misses any muscle he has? Certainly not, only these muscles might be covered a little bit - or a little bit more- under some fatty tissue and are so weak that they do not show through.

Same goes with creativity. We simply have it but it is often our weak muscle covered by the fatty tissue of beliefs we have about our own incapability and about the superiority of others.

Once you take that metaphor as a given, you can start building your creative muscle. You can make it as strong as you like it to be. the only thing you need to do is constant excoriate.

So, how to build your creative muscle again?

Every creative process has 4 phases.

* Preparation

* Cerebration

* Realization

* Application

Like toning your muscles by going through certain steps in the right sequence you build up creativity by applying these for phases sequentially.

At first you might only do it once in a while. But the more you do it the stronger your creative muscle gets and the easier it is. it just becomes a habit. And a habit is something we do unconsciously.

Let us look at the steps a little closer.

Preparation

This is maybe the most important step. Preparation is about gathering the data, the information. All Improvements start with questioning the current situation. Asking questions, and asking the right questions is key.

Asking yourself hard questions is not always comfortable. But, remember, starting to exercise is not always comfortable as well. Nevertheless it is a must.

What questions to ask? Here are some questions to start the process.

What am I trying to do?

How am I trying to do it?

What are my assumptions?

What if my assumptions are wrong?

By asking these questions you start the loop of creativity. Just do not start judging for now.

Once you have your data collected, you know the frame of the problem. Now, begin with the second step.

Cerebration

This is the easiest step in the process. Cerebration simply means to stop consciously thinking about the issue and turn it over to your unconscious mind. Because your rational mind has already clarified the frame of the challenge it is time now to tap into your resources.

How to do that? There are many ways but one works pretty well for me. I start thinking and doing something totally different after I told myself that I hand the issue over to my subconscious mind. No second thought on it. I actually deny myself to ponder over it. I do everything I can to not think about it anymore.

I think my unconscious mind becomes pretty upset of me ignoring it and usually starts acting like wild to get through to my conscious mind. The more I suppress this the stronger it tries.

Eventually my unconscious mind is so upset that it fires up ideas. Not only one or two, but because I consciously suppressed it from letting ideas coming out, it starts firing on idea after another. I never know when it happens, it could be hours or even days after I framed the issue. But I am sure it always happens.

And, this is my goal. Now I can go to the next stage.

Realization

This is where you take all the ideas your unconscious came up with and write them down. You realize them. You get aware of them.

In that critical stage we often start judging the ideas. Don’t do that before you have written down every single idea that your mind came up with.

Writing the ideas down or even saying them out loud, gives them a new dimension. You create the idea literally by giving it a form (either written or by producing sounds we call language). This is a very important part. Let the idea emanate, become something that exists outside of your brain. No matter how silly it seems, if it was worth for your subconscious to come up with it is worth to be written down. Value the work of your subconscious mind.

After you have written down all your ideas, you can go to the next stage.

Application

This is the last stage, where you evaluate the set of ideas and pick the one you belief has the biggest chance of being applicable. Make a Top 10 list of your ideas and sort them as long as it takes to find the right sequence.

Now you have done it. You can start to apply your idea to the problem. You will maybe find hundreds of issues that have to be solved but that is only an entry point to start the whole process over again until you succeed.

Creativity is a skill it is not a genetic gift to some. It is a gift you have too. Build your muscle using the sequence i gave you and you will start becoming a creative person able to solve problems and create the outcome you want.
